I had submitted drawings to a previous vendor in Canada whom I worked with for several years to see if they can help me out with manufacturing some of my parts. They are a small manufacturing company who provide clear lenses for different vehicles including the VX. I was hoping to acquire their services to reproduce my fog light trim and front skid plate vents via silicone molds and castings. Unfortunately, they had responded that they see my parts as a potential nightmare since they include some undercuts in the design that can cause some molding and de-molding issues. I can understand their concern and will probably 3d print these pieces myself using either PLA or ABS filament depending on the color of the part. Since PLA may warp if exposed to excessive sunlight UV heat for darker colors. However, my current non-painted silver PLA prototypes installed on my VX, have shown no signs of warping thus far. But may switch to ABS for the final install if needed later on.
